Introduction
A furrow converted into a canal by the sphenoidal process of the palatine bone.
- situated on the under surface of the vaginal process of the sphenoid bone
- transmits the pharyngeal branch of the maxillary artery & the pharyngeal nerve from the pterygopalatine ganglion
