- tuberous & tendon xanthomata
- premature atherosclerosis
- LDL receptor (LDLR) activity measured in skin fibroblasts is normal
- LDL binding ability is normal
Genetics
- associated with defect in LDLRAP1 gene
Laboratory
- severely elevated plasma LDL cholesterol
