Introduction
- when larger than 2 cm, an epididymal cyst is also known as a spermatocele
Clinical manifestations
- painless, soft, round structures in the epididymal head distinct from the testes
- usually asymptomatic
Radiology
- scrotal ultrasonography if diagnosis is uncertain
- location of the mass is uncertain
- testicular mass suspected
Management
- no intervention indicated unless
- increasing in size
- causing pain or discomfort
- referral to urology for excision if becomes larger, painful spermatocele
