Indications
- detection of early pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma
Procedure
- a protease-cleavable peptide probe developed into a rapid magnetic nanosensor assay that measures serum protease cleavage of a target-probe nanosensor with a simple fluorescent readout
* alone it is 73% accurate in identifying early pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma
* combined with the biomarker CA19-9 is 85% sensitive for detection of stage 1 pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma with 96% specificity.
