Introduction
Nucleotides or oligonucleotides that probe, or interrogate, a sample containing nucleic acid by hybridization.
The nucleotides or oligonucleotides on the surface of the DNA microarray (probe arrays) are called probes because they probe, or interrogate, the sample.
