Indications
- treatment of acne scars, wrinkles
- skin tightening
- alternative to lasers, especially for darker skin types[1]
Adverse effects
- may result in bruising for 1 week (may be covered up with makeup)
Procedure
- requires multiple treatments for optimal results[1]
- procedure is painful, topical anesthesia is required
- topical 23% lidocaine & 7% tetracaine
- cocktail of 30 mLs of 2% lidocaine with epinephrine, 15 mLs of bicarbonate, & 5 mLs of saline
