Etiology
- normal pattern of pigmentation
Epidemiology
- more easily seen in persons of color
Clinical manifestations
- dorsal surfaces are hyperpigmented relative to ventral surfaces
- bilateral symmetrical localized transition between lighter & darker pigment
- may be observed on posteromedial legs, anterolateral upper arms, central chest & midback
