Any metal with a high specific gravity, generally > 5.
Heavy metals include:
- iron (Fe)
- cobolt (Co)
- copper (Cu)
- manganese (Mn)
- molybdenum (Mo)
- zinc (Zn)
- vanadium (Vn)
- lead (Pb)
- mercury (Hg)
- gold (Au)
- silver (Ag)
- cadmium (Cd)
- arsenic (As)
