- blocks TNF-induced MLCK1 recruitment & downstream myosin light chain phosphorylation, intestinal barrier loss, & diarrhea in vitro & in vivo
- corrects intestinal barrier dysfunction & prevents disease development & progression in experimental inflammatory bowel disease
