Clinical significance

Procedure

  • EEG method for passive & objective measurement of recognition memory
  • requires no behavioural memory response or comprehension of the task
  • task completed in < 3 minutes
  • subjects passively view rapidly presented images
  • Fastball EEG assesses their automatic ability to differentiate between images based on previous exposure (old vs new)
  • subjects are not instructed to attend to previously seen images & provide no behavioural response
