Management
- correction of iron deficiency or other cause of anemia
- erythropoiesis-stimulating agent for anemia due to chemotherapy
- asymptomatic patients with blood hemoglobin < 8 mg/dL
- symptomatic patients with blood hemoglobin < 10 mg/dL
- not recommended for patients not on chemotherapy
