Specimen
- Whole blood (EDTA).
- Stable for 24 h at 4 C.
Notes
- supine position redistributes plasma into the vascular space, resulting in dilution of blood constituents with decline in blood hemoglobin of as much as 1.0 g/dL (median 0.6 g/dL)[4]
