Uses
- experimental drug with activity against Ebola virus
Dosage
- IV once daily for 12 consecutive days, protects monkeys from lethal doses of Ebola even when treatment was started 3 days after exposure[1]
Mechanism of action
- inhibits Ebola replication in vitro
- also has activity against Marburg virus (another filovirus) & against arenaviruses & coronaviruses
