A term used to describe risk factors to cardiovascular events in persons with normal BMI.
Epidemiology
* cardiometabolic disorder found in normal-weight persons
Laboratory
Clinical significance
- any two of hyperglycemia, decreased HDL, hypertriglyceridemia, &/or hypertension increases risk for cardiovascular events in persons with normal BMI[1]
Management
- insufficient evidence to recommend routine screening for cardiometabolic disorder in persons with normal BMI
