Epidemiology
- found in 9% of asymptomatic young adults[1]
Pathology
- 21% of young adults with pharyngitis
- twice as common as group A streptococcus[1]
- can cause Lemierre syndrome
Management
- azithromycin is not effective against F necrophorum
