Interactions:
- rates of infant mortality increase with maternal BMI, 0.24% among normal-weight women to 0.58% among women with BMI >= 40
- risk observed mainly among term infants ude to death from birth asphyxia[1]
- excess of preterm deliveries among overweight & obese women also contribute[1]
