• prophylaxis for venous thromboembolism
• atrial fibrillation
  • prevention of embolic stroke
• treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
  • pulmonary embolism
• acute myocardial infarction (AMI)
• transient ischemic attacks (TIA)
• prosthetic heart valves
  • mechanical heart valves*

* including during pregnancy if the dose is 5 mg QD or less, otherwise LMW heparin
