• occlusion of the paramedian branches of the posterior cerebral artery
• midbrain stroke resulting from occlusion of paramedian branches of the posterior cerebral artery, affecting
  • substantia nigra
  • corticospinal tract
  • corticobulbar tract
  • oculomotor nerve

Clinical manifestations

• oculomotor nerve palsy
• contralateral hemiparesis or hemiplegia.
