Indications
- treatment of patients who have been hospitalized with NYHA class 3 heart failure in the previous year[1]
Mechanism of action
- a small implantable device provides pulmonary artery pressure measurements (daily)[1]
- three parts:
- a small permanent sensor implanted in the pulmonary artery
- a catheter-based delivery system
- a system that acquires & processes pulmonary artery pressure measurements from the implanted monitor & transfers the data to a secure database
