Etiology

Epidemiology

  • elderly, thin, frail, relatively immobile men of Asian descent

Pathology

Clinical manifestations

  • plaques may become sore & uncomfortable

Management

  • pressure-relieving devices
    • donut cushions
    • air or water-filled cushions
  • topical glucorticoids not helpfule
  • topical urea not helpful
  • topic salicylic acid not helpful
