Pathology
- tends to be non-allergic
- inflammation along the entire respiratory tract, with sinusitis, nasal polyps & sputum eosinophilia associated with severe cases
- systemic inflammation associated with severe cases
Clinical manifestations
- can be relatively mild and easy to control or can be severe & treatment resistant
Laboratory
- complete blood count
- neutrophilia associated with severe cases
- sputum eosinophils increased in severe cases
