Clinical manifestations
- intermittent symptoms
- mild, crampy abdominal pain
- diarrhea containing mucus or blood
- fever
- tenderness of cecum & ascending colon during cramping
- liver tenderness (amebic hepatitis)
- friction rub with liver abscess (5% of symptomatic patients)
