Drug interactions
- aliskiren potentiates adverse effects of ACE inhibitors:[3]
- symptomatic hypotension
- renal failure
- hyperkalemia
- combining ACE inhibitor or ARB with aliskiren increases risk of stroke, renal complications, hyperkalemia, & hypotension in some patients with diabetes mellitus[2]
