- accumulation of abnormal storage material in the heart
- skeletal muscle shows a marked predominance of slow-twitch, oxidative muscle fibers & mitochondrial proliferation
Genetics
- associated with defects in GYG1
Clinical manifestations
- generalized muscle weakness & fatigability
- cardiac arrhythmiass
