Epidemiology
- most common cause of inherited euthyroid hyperthyroxinemia in Caucasian population
Genetics
- associated with defects in albumin
Clinical manifestations
- persons are euthyroid
Laboratory
- serum thyroxine is increased
- free T4 is normal or increased
- serum TSH should be low to normal
