Indications
- evaluation of indications for hospitalization in patients presenting with episode of syncope
Management
- recommends admission for patients with syncope and
- acute coronary syndrome
- cardiac conduction disease
- history of cardiac arrhythmia or cardiac pacemaker
- valvular heart disease
- family history of sudden death
- volume depletion (dehydration)
- persistent abnormal vital signs in the ED
- primary central nervous system event (stroke, seizure)
