- 50% of autopies of patients dying from HIV infection
- cardiac opportunistic infection
- cardiac toxicity of pharmaceutical agents
- atherosclerosis & coronary artery disease[1][3][4]
- antiretroviral protease inhibitors are associated with hyperlipidemia[2][3]
