pisohamate ligament

Introduction

A strong fibrous band that attaches the pisiform bone to the hook of the hamate.

This ligament, together with the pisometacarpal ligament, forms the insertion of the flexor carpi ulnaris in which the pisform bone is like a sesamoid bone.
