• medial surface of cuboid bone
• middle & lateral cuneiform bones

Insertion

• by 2 tendons, into sides of the base of the proximal phalanx of the 1st (great) toe

Action

flexes 1st (great) toe

Innervation

medial & lateral plantar nerves
