Introduction

Three intrinsic muscles of the foot.

Origin

• medial side of the 3rd, 4th & 5th metatarsal bones

Insertion

• corresponding side of the proximal phalanx of the same toes

Action

adducts 3 lateral toes (3, 4, 5)

Innervation

lateral plantar nerve
