Structure
- 1 of 2 nuclei located in the cerebellum, interposed between the dentate nucleus & fastigial nucleus
- also interposed between the dentate nucleus & fastigial nucleus is the emboliform nucleus.
- the globose nuclei are a group of 2 or 3 small masses of gray substance in the white matter core of the cerebellum, medial to the emboliform nucleus
Afferents
- axons of Purkinje cells from the intermediate area of the cerebellar cortex
Efferents
- projects fibers through the superior cerebellar peduncle (brachium conjunctivum)
