Introduction
A plexus on the labyrinth wall of the tympanic cavity.
Origin
- tympanic nerve
- anastomotic branch of the facial nerve
- sympathetic branches from the internal carotid plexus
Innervation
- mucosa of the middle ear, mastoid cells & auditory tube (eustachian tube)
- lesser superficial petrosal nerve to the otic ganglion
