crus (crura) cerebri

Introduction

The bundle of corticofugal fibers passing longitudinally on the ventral surface of the midbrain on each side of the midline.

It consists of fibers descending from the cortex to the tegmentum mesencephali, pontine nuclei & spinal cord.
