Introduction
The smaller posteriorly directed major terminal branch of all 31 pairs of mixed spinal nerves, formed at the intervertebral foramen from dorsal roots of the spinal nerve (dorsal ramus)
Origin
Innervation
- supply intrinsic muscles of back & overlying skin (adjacent to vertebral column)
Course
- pass segmentally to muscles & skin
