Introduction
Pairs of spinal nerves form dorsal (sensory) & ventral (motor) roots.
Dorsal roots emerge from the dorsal horn of the spinal cord.
Dorsal roots have cell bodies in dorsal root ganglion.
The dorsal roots & ventral roots join in the intervertebral foramen.
Many rootlets may comprise the dorsal root of spinal nerves.
The rootlets coalesce to form the dorsal ramus of spinal nerve.
