Management

  • cohort units in addition to other other infection prevention & outbreak response practices can greatly enhance an organization's ability to prevent & control spread of infection & minimize risk to residents & staff[2]
  • Green, Yellow, & Red Zones
    • Green Zone: Nonexposed-resident care zone
    • Yellow Zone: Quarantine zone to monitor those who are at risk for developing the infection
    • Red Zone: Isolation zone for those who are known to have the infection
