frizzled domain (FZ)

Introduction

Extracellular domain of about 120 amino acids, 1st identified in the collagen 18 alpha-1 chain & in members of the Frizzled family which act as receptors for secreted Wingless (Wg)/Wnt glycoproteins. The frizzled domain is a Wg/Wnt interacting domain.
