Function
- antigen
- recognized on melanoma by autologous cytolytic T-cells (see Genetics:)
Structure
belongs to the GAGE family
Expression
- exressed specifically in testis
Pathology
- expressed in several tumor tissues including melanoma
Genetics
- gene belongs to a family of genes organized in clustered repeats
- the genes have a high degree of predicted sequence identity, but differ by scattered single nucleotide substitution
- their sequences contain either the antigenic peptide YYWPRPRRY or YRPRPRRY which is recognized by cytotoxic T-cells
