Function

• may regulate actin cytoskeletal organization, cell spreading & cell contraction by directly binding & stabilizing filamentous F-actin
• localized formation of TARA & TRIO complexes coordinates the amount of F-actin present in stress fibers
• may also serve as a linker protein to recruit proteins required for F-actin formation & turnover
• ubiquitinated by HECTD3, leading to its degradation by the proteasome
• binds to TRIO & F-actin
• may also interact with myosin II
• interacts with HECTD3

• contains at least 2 actin-binding sites per coiled-coil dimer
• contains 1 PH domain
