Introduction
Focal areas of lipolysis secondary to release of activated pancreatic lipases into the pancreatic parenchyma & into the peritoneal cavity. Calcium:fatty acid deposits result in grossly visible chalky white areas & basophilic deposits surrounded by inflammatory reaction histologically.
