Epidemiology

• ~85% cases of ALL in children are L1

Pathology

morphologic classification:

• small uniform cells
• scanty cytoplasm, moderately basophilic
• regular nuclei, inconspicuous nucleoli.

Management

• Distinction of L1, L2 & L3 not relevant to therapy.
