Function
- differentiation of bone marrow stromal cells
- acts downstream of MAP3K7 & HIPK2
- negatively regulates Wnt1 signaling pathway
- phosphorylates TCF/LEF factors
- inhibits interaction of beta-catenin-TCF complex with DNA
- negatively regulates phosphorylation & proteolysis or MYB
- may suppress wide range of transcription factors by phosphorylation of coactivator, CREBBP
- interacts with HIPK2 & MYB
- activated by TAK1 (MAP3K7)
- dually phosphorylated on Thr-291 & Tyr-293, which activates the enzyme (putative)
ATP + a protein <--> ADP + a phosphoprotein
Cofactor: Mg+2 (putative)
Compartment
nuclear, lesser amounts in cytoplasm
