Introduction

Fluorescent dye used to label dCTP &/or dUMP in synthesis of cDNA by reverse transcriptase. The reverse transcriptase tends to stutter or slow when it encounters the dye.

Notes

Cy3 is excited by green light:

Peak excitation: 550 nm

Peak emission: 570 nm

Cy3-dCTP (Amersham #PA53021)
