Introduction
An enzyme obtained from Escherichia coli, yeast, & Trypanosoma brucei contains a putative ATP-binding site, presumably using ATP instead of GTP, but is NOT related to this form. In eukaryotes there are two isozymes: a cytoplasmic one (PEPCK1) & a mitochondrial one (PEPCK2)
