Etiology
Clinical significance
- associated with Crohn's disease.
- in patients with inflammatory bowel disease, detection of 2 of 3 antibodies:
- anti-laminaribioside
- anti-chitobioside
- anti-mannan is 99% specific for Crohn's disease,
- higher titers of anti-laminaribioside or anti-mannan associated with small intestinal disease
