Osler's node

Etiology

• characteristic of subacute bacterial endocarditis
  • Streptococcus viridans

Pathology

• probably immunologic in origin

Clinical manifestations

• tender cutaneous lesions,
• small raised & discolored lesions usually appearing on the pads of the fingers or toes
