Function

• beta-1,3-galactosyltransferase
• transfers galactose from UDP-galactose to substrates with terminal beta-GlcNAc residue
• biosynthesis of the carbohydrate moieties of glycolipids & glycoproteins
• inactive towards substrates with terminal alpha-GlcNAc or alpha-GalNAc
