A device using a wide belt as a moving platform to enable a subject to walk (or run) in place

Indications

• aerobic exercise
• rehabilitation, including cardiac rehabilitation
• used in connection with electrocardiographic monitoring in exercise stress testing & in connection with other monitoring for a variety of physiologic tests

Contraindications

• unable to stand with confidence
• balance disorder
