Introduction
A device using a wide belt as a moving platform to enable a subject to walk (or run) in place
Indications
- aerobic exercise
- rehabilitation, including cardiac rehabilitation
- used in connection with electrocardiographic monitoring in exercise stress testing & in connection with other monitoring for a variety of physiologic tests
Contraindications
- unable to stand with confidence
- balance disorder
