Clinical significance
- lesions that blanch on diascopy:
- lesions that do not blanch on diascopy:
- purpuric lesion caused by necrotizing vasculitis
- petechiae
- granulomas have an 'apple jelly' appearance
Procedure
- examination of superficial skin lesions with a flat piece of glass pressed against the lesion
