Introduction
Benign, self-limited disease of lymph nodes.
Etiology
unknown
Pathology
histiocytic, necrotizing lymphadenopathy
Clinical manifestations
- cervical lymphadenopathy - may be tender
- respiratory symptoms
- afebrile
- splenomegaly may be present[2]
- symptoms resolve spontaneously in 2-4 months
Diagnostic criteria
by exclusion
Laboratory
Management
- supportive, disease is self-limited
- does NOT respond to antibiotic therapy
